Anderson's Bride

Service here was so personal every time. I looked forward to going in. The went beyond what I asked for and made me very happy with all my choices.

You will find your dream dress at Anderson’s but the overall service will only be satisfactory. I tried on eight to ten dresses and most of them were not in my size (I’m a size 4). I tried on several different styles but all of them were extremely large so making a decision was difficult. Secondly, when my dress arrived no one called me so if you buy from them be sure to follow-up. Lastly, on my final pick-up I paid for un-necessary alterations. On my first fitting Anderson’s said my dress needed to be taken in so they did but afterwards the dress didn’t fit me. They then let my dress out to its original size and charged me for this. All of my fittings happened one week following the other so my size did not change. To make matters worse they don’t give you a receipt with the breakdown of your alteration costs so most brides won’t even realize their paying too much.

They did a great job with my dress but need a little more staff to accomodate the number of people coming through the door. I had to wait many times when I was in the store, even though I had an apointment. It was hard to get a response by phone when I had questions.

I was very disappointed with Anderson's. I was a bride living out of state but getting married in Alaska. I had to get my dress out of state and numerous times they chastised me for not buying my dress there. I had my dress streamed there; one, it was over priced and two, they destroyed my bustle. They messed up sizes for my groomsmen even when my groomsmen where sized there. We where scrambling hours before the ceremony for his tux. We bought my bridesmaids dresses there about 15 weeks early and they arrived a week before the wedding barely enough time to be altered. They screwed up the alterations on one of my bridesmaids dresses and I was sewing and fixing their mistake minutes before the ceremony. They are unprofessional, overpriced, and rude. I will never go back. And recommend going all over Alaska before going to them.

This was a very nice store and had really great help - one of the staff stayed late for my appointment when her co-worker didn\'t show to take our appointment. Beautiful dresses but limited selection for plus size brides. Overpriced in my opinion with overcharges on rush fees. Typically, a manufacturer will charge $25-$50 for a rush fee. I saw tags on dresses that said either $100 or $125 rush fees. Looks like they smack on an extra rush fee of their own on top of the manufacture\'s fee. They did have lots of different fabrics and styles and tux rentals at the same place, so convienent. I didn\'t end up buying my dress at this location, but thought it was a good option for women looking for their wedding gowns.

The service was wonderful , Erika helped me find the perfect dress on my first visit! She even helped us find a tux with only three days before my wedding!

Not a fan. I was searching for the perfect dress and thought I found it! It was such a turn-off, however when not getting top notch service for the price of the dress. The lady, the mother of the owner, snapped at my maid of honor! She was incredibly rude and looked miserable. I couldn't help but feel shrugged off when I was trying to find the most important dress of my life. For wanting to spend $1,500 on a wonderful gown, the service sucked and I never have gone back.

Beautiful dresses! I loved my shopping experience there! Everyone is so friendly and helpful! They make you feel like a princess!

Erika was an absolute blessing, she found my dream dress when I was about to give up! When dress shopping be patient and believe... its their job and they are great at it!!

Loved my dress and veil. Staff was very attentive and knowledgeable.

The women at Anderson's Bride were very easy to work with. I went the first time with my mom and tried on many dresses. It was a week day, so they didn't have too many people in the store and took a lot of time with me to help me think about what I liked best. They were very sweet and did lots of oohing and aahing, though i'm sure they see countless brides try on dresses. I went back that weekend with my dad, and the store was quite busy. They still paused for the oo's and aah's though - they were good at paying attention to each customer. They took my measurements well and the delivery went easily. In the end, the dress was perfect.

n 2009, We went to Anderson Brides for their suit rental for our daughters wedding. We were told we could pick them up a few days prior to wedding. Then we were told we couldn't pick them up until the day before the wedding. That made us concerned in case there were fitting issues etc. When we arrived to pick them up the suits looked like they hadn't been cleaned & pressed properly. I actually had to request a suit to be pressed. We were in a very tough situation as it wasn't like we could cancel with them & go else where the day before the wedding. At the wedding, buttons were falling off the suits and when we went outside you could see on the Father of the Brides suit that it had makeup on the shoulder from the previous users. That only validated what we felt, They had not been cleaned. Zero should be the rating and I would never use them again.

I worked with Erika at Anderson's Bride for my wedding gown and she was absolutley amazing. She was very honest on what she thought looked good on me and what didn't. In a group of loved ones not wanting to hurt my feelings she was bold enough to say, "No, we'll find better." On dresses that I loved but did not fit me as I would have liked, she had many suggestions on how to make it work for my body and style. Anderson's was very accomodating to my mind changes and although the dress arrived in the wrong color, they were very helpful.
